We started with First Grade and are adding a grade each year
After community connection and research, we decided that the inaugural class would be first grade! Traditionally, the class is “carried by” or taught by that teacher from first grade through eighth grade. We are adding a grade each year, so the 2025-2026 first grade class is the eldest class and the first to graduate from Mighty Oaks School in 2033.
Consider our schedule:
In all that we do, we strive to provide great care to childhood and the developmental stage children are at. Because of this, the First Grade has a weekly schedule that is at a different pace than a usual First Grade class. Each year we add a full day of school.
FIRST GRADE:
Mondays: Parent & Child Enrichment at local parks (done as a group)
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays: Full school days in person learning at Mighty Oaks School
Fridays: Mini morning lesson (virtually, 30 minute maximum).
The school year begins after Labor Day and ends June 11. Other than those instances, our calendar coincides with Clarkston Community Schools.
SECOND GRADE:
Mondays - Thursdays: Full school days in person learning at Mighty Oaks School
Fridays: Mini morning lesson (virtually, 30 minute maximum).
