Who We Are

At Mighty Oaks School, we nurture imaginative, innovative, and life-long learners through an education guide by Waldorf and led by Waldorf-trained teachers.

In our technology-free classrooms surrounded by nature, students engage in a rich, hands-on curriculum that supports their full development—head, heart, and hands. Rooted in community and guided by reverence for life, we empower children to grow with purpose, creativity, and a deep sense of connection.

The beginning of something wonderful

Mighty Oaks School is a premiere Non-Public Private School in Oakland County, Michigan. Our curriculum is guided by Waldorf Education, beginning with first grade and building the grades one by one each year.

Our inaugural school year launched Fall 2025 with first grade!

At Mighty Oaks School we prioritize depth and breadth of academic rigor through direct instruction, the arts, and extended time in nature. As taught by Dr. Rudolf Steiner, we honor the development of the whole child through engaging the head, heart, and hands.

Mighty Oaks School is comprised of a group of families, driven to bring a high quality education that follows the teachings of Dr. Rudolf Steiner for their children and countless children to come. Led by Katlyn Boucher, School Director & certified Waldorf Teacher, along with the specialty faculty: Charne Lichtenberg, the Mighty Oaks School is an emerging force of cultivating a learning community for children as well as for parents, in the way that Waldorf lends a hand to nourish the child and the whole family.
