Esther Lee
Esther Lee is the Afternoon Lead Teacher at the Mighty Oaks School sister school: Acorn KinderHouse and brings a warm, grounded presence to the children. Since joining the KinderHouse in 2018, she has served in a variety of teaching roles and currently also is the Director of the Acorn KinderHouse summer camps. In addition to her work in early childhood education, Esther is a practicing children and youth therapist with Life Lens Counseling Services. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology with a focus on adolescence and youth from Oakland University, and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University. Esther believes strongly that Waldorf education is the best approach for children and has received training in Waldorf pedagogy through the Waldorf Institute of Southeast Michigan (WISM) in Ann Arbor. When Esther is not working at the school or counseling, she enjoys knitting, reading, and traveling.
