Charne Lichtenberg

Charne, originally from South Africa, was certified as a Waldorf Assistant Teacher in 2023. Two years later, totaling five years at the Acorn Kinderhouse as an assistant teacher in the little acorn class and as a Parent and Child teacher (“Ducks and Ducklings” teacher), Charne has received her training in Waldorf for Children 0-3, has become a certified Herbalist and aroma therapist, and is eagerly pursuing further education. She fell in love with Waldorf when her oldest daughter had the opportunity to attend the Ducks and Ducklings classes and then the Preschool at the Acorn Kinderhouse, her then youngest daughter set out on the same journey as her sister becoming one of the first to join the Little Acorn program and went on to graduate as a Golden Acorn. Charne has felt a strong connection to the natural way of teaching which honors the development of children and this has led her to find her calling in Waldorf early childhood education. She loves spending time with her family and friends and serving her community. She also has a passion for music, gardening, and discovering ways to heal the body through natural sources.
